Telegram is currently one of the most widely used messaging apps, and its developers continue adding useful social media features to it. The 8.0 version of this application now comes with video live stream support, and there is no limitation when it comes to the number of users.

While the live stream function has been available previously, the number of viewers that could watch it was up to 1,000. For those people or companies that have a larger following, the limit meant that they couldn’t use Telegram for this purpose. Now, both users of Android and iOS devices can make live streams without worrying whether everyone could watch them. In addition to the live stream function, the company introduced shortcuts used to switch between different channels and added more options when it comes to forwarding messages. Telegram users can now hide the sender’s name and also delete captions when they want to forward a certain message or file to others.

Such large-scale live streams make Telegram a lot more competitive on the social media market. Besides removing the limits concerning the audience size, it is also now possible for up to 30 users to broadcast at the same time. Users can also enjoy voice channels that are similar to those on Clubhouse and any number of people can become live listeners. The rate at which Telegram adds these new features is quite impressive, as developers introduced the group calling feature for the first time in June of 2021.

At the beginning of this year, Telegram already had 500 million active users, but the popularity of this app will only continue to grow with new features.
