An Incredible Look at GTA 5: Definitive Edition Mod

A remastered compilation of major GTA titles along with various gameplay enhancements and upgrades was published by  Rockstar games in the form of  “GTA 5: The Definitive Edition”. But even with these enhancements some people still think it can be better. And BadassBaboon has taken on this task of overhauling the graphics by creating a Mod for GTA 5: Definite Edition. Interestingly the mod was already in development before the “GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition” was announced, it seems GTA got some inspiration for the trilogy’s title.

This GTA Mod, created by BadassBaboon, is a thorough revamp of the game's textures and seeks to replace game world textures by utilizing PRB textures in 2K and 4K resolutions, as well as parallax textures. Every specular, texture, and even the normal maps have been meticulously up-scaled and enhanced manually by the modder. This project also includes remastered L.A. roads.

BadassBaboon shared a video on YouTube to showcase the definitive edition mod. In the video, BadassBaboon compares gameplay with the regular version of the game and gameplay with the mod. This YouTube video provides you with an overview of what to expect from the definitive edition mod. But unfortunately, the mod is in its beta phase and is only available to subscribers of BadassBaboons’ Patreon channel. And from how amazing the mod looks in the YouTube video I know fans of the game can’t wait to get their hand on the mod, hopefully, it’s released to the public soon.
